The Reduction Of 2-Acetyl-1, 3-Indanedione Oxime With Formic Acid

The primary objective of this investigation was to study the reduction of various oximes using formic acid as the reducing agent. Oximes of various ketones were prepared and refluxed with formic acid in order to gain information about the types of oximes that could be reduced under these conditions.
