Magnesium Content In The Two Forms Of Proteus Vulgaris

In this study the long form or swarming forms of Proteus vulgaris were found to have twice the magnesium per gram of cell weight than the short or non-swarming forms of Proteus vulgaris. This assay was accomplished by use of atomic absorption spectroscopy.
