Land use impacts on leaf processing rates and macroinvertebrate communities were examined in Greene Creek and Sims Creek, headwater streams in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. In this study changes resulting from the conversion of a forested riparian zone to a grass pasture with just a few scattered trees were examined.
