A Correlation Of Prejudice With Creativity

The present study was designed to investigate the relationship between prejudice, as measured by the California F Scale, and creativity, as defined by the Torrance Verbal Test of Creative Thinking. The Torrance Verbal Test of Creative Thinking was administered to a group of fifty subjects during a sixty minute session. The same group of subjects was administered the California F Scale the following day during the same time period and in the same setting. It was predicted that there would be a positive correlation between the subject's degree of creativity and the amount of expressed prejudice beliefs, i.e., the more creative subject would tend to be less prejudice and the less creative subject would tend to be more prejudiced.
