The Other Side Of War

This 60-minute documentary examines a controversial topic that was largely ignored -- the role of women in the Vietnam War, 1964-1973. The film consists entirely of interviews with female nurses and Red Cross volunteers. It provides a vivid, dramatic, first-hand account of their involvement in the war, the critical role they played, their insights and reflections about their wartime service, the traumatic memories and emotions that haunt them, and the readjustment problems they encountered after returning home.
